Server Migrations
Description
Migrate source server including multiple websites to a destination server. Service includes:
- Coordinate migration process with customer through partner’s support portal.
- Setup configuration on destination host.
- Copy web files from source to destination.
- Copy databases from source to destination.
- Update code in websites as needed to accommodate changes in database credentials and file paths.
- Copy email accounts, aliases and auto-responders.
- Provide instructions for customer to test websites on destination server using hosts file.
- Correct any problems identified in testing.
- Schedule cutover time window.
- At the cutover time refresh content and database from source to destination server.
- Update DNS records to point sites to destination server.
Pricing
- Plesk to Plesk or Cpanel to Cpanel – $175 first 50 domains, $1.50 each additional domain
- Plesk to Cpanel or Cpanel to Plesk – $225 first 50 domains, $1.50 each additional domain

Requirements
- Customer must provide working root SSH login credentials for source and destination hosts.
- For DNS updates:
- Service does not include domain transfers between registrar. Customer is responsible for any desired domain transfer.
- If DNS is managed from the source host via a control panel, to which Server Sitters has access, then Server Sitters will update the DNS records to point to the destination host.
- If DNS is managed from the destination host via control panel to which Server Sitters has access, then Server Sitters will update the DNS records to point to the destination host.
- If DNS is managed elsewhere, and the customer provides a control panel login, then Server Sitters will update the DNS records to point to the destination host.
- In other cases, Server Sitters will provide instructions for the customer about what DNS changes are required. The customer will be responsible for making these changes.
- A time window for the migration cutover will be scheduled with the customer. Typically, this window will be 1 hour. The websites may be unavailable for some or all of this window. DNS propagation delays may cause the website to be unavailable for a longer period. When possible, Server Sitters will lower the TTL on DNS records to minimize propagation time.
Single Site Migration
Description
Migrate a single website from source to destination host. The source and destination can be any hosting company and any control panel. The service includes:
- Coordinate migration process with customer through partner’s support portal.
- Setup configuration on destination host.
- Copy web files from source to destination.
- Copy databases from source to destination.
- Update code as needed to accommodate changes in database credentials and file paths.
- Copy email accounts, aliases and auto-responders.
- Update DNS records to point site to destination host.
Pricing
$95 per site
Requirements
- Customer must provide working login credentials for source and destination hosts. We need FTP (SFTP) at a minimum. If there are databases and email to be moved then control panel logins must also be provided.
- Limit of 20 email accounts per domain. Additional email accounts handled on an hourly basis.
- For DNS updates:
- Service does not include domain transfers between registrar. Customer is responsible for any desired domain transfer.
- If DNS is managed from the source host via a control panel, then Server Sitters update the DNS records to point to the destination host.
- If DNS is managed from the destination host via control panel to which Server Sitters has access, then Server Sitters will update the DNS records to point to the destination host.

- If domain name is changing then we can’t guarantee that software applications will work on changed domain. This is not a problem on WordPress and Magento where the name change procedure are well defined. On other applications, customer will be responsible for reconfiguring their application as needed to accommodate domain name changes.
- A time window for the migration will be scheduled with the customer. Typically, this window will be 4 hours. The website may be unavailable for some or all of this window.
